The Alloy 20 Round Bar has outstanding resistance to hot sulphuric acid, which is due to the presence of copper in the alloy. Also, heat sulfuric acids are known to be resistant to traditional stainless steels, such as grade 316. ASTM B473 Alloy 20 Bright Bar is intended to be used for applications involving sulfuric the acid in several industries such as the petrochemical, oil, power and plastic sectors. Alloy 20 Bar has a higher resistance to stress-corrosion cracking In boiling 20% to 40% sulfuric acid. UNS N08020 Round Bars were extremely sulfuric acid resistant to general corrosion.
These UNS N08020 Bars are also resistant to crushing of chloride stress. It has excellent mechanical and manufacturing properties, along with limited carbide precipitation.
