what is nitronic 50?

Nitronic 50 alloy is an austenitic steel that has been enhanced by nitrogen. The corrosion resistance of Nitronic 50 alloy is higher than that of stainless steel of grades 316 and 317. Both at temperatures below zero and at high temperatures have extremely good mechanical characteristics. The magnetic permeability of the alloy can be maintained at a low level even after it has been subjected to temperatures below zero or to operating circumstances that are very cold.

The Nitronic 50 Round Bar complies with the standards of ASTM, ASME,  and API and meets the requirements of ASTM A276 and A479, respectively. The lengths of the bars and rods may range from one meter to six meters, and their widths can range from six millimeters to three hundred millimeters.
